Parish Council The Parish Council assists the Pastor in the areas of pastoral activities. It is advisory in nature, its members are nominated by the parish or appointed by the pastor, and their period of service is three years. The Parish Council meets in the Parish Life Center on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm. Parishioners and other visitors are welcome to attend and present their concerns to the council. Finance Committee The Committee's function is to advise the Pastor in the prudent planning and administering of all parish financial matters and the setting of policy and procedure to provide effective management of parish assets. The Committee is composed of volunteer members of the Parish appointed by the Pastor. Each Committee member accepts a 3-year term.
Eucharistic Ministers Our Eucharistic Ministers are trained in all aspects of the distribution of Holy Communion. Most of the Parish's Eucharistic Ministers assist the Priest during Mass, others concentrate their efforts on taking Holy Communion to the homebound or patients at Salem Hospital. Lectors Lectors of the Immaculate Conception proclaim the Word in the form of readings from Sacred Scripture at the Mass and special celebrations. Lectors, selected from among our parishioners, are provided with a preparation period of instruction and training. Lectors minister at weekday, Saturday and Sunday Masses. Altar Servers Boys and girls who are in the fourth grade and older, as well as adults, are eligible to be servers at Mass. See the Priest after the 8:30 am Mass on Sunday or contact Mary Louise Daly at 978-745-6303.
Religious Education Our parish religious education program seeks to provide a solid supplementary role in helping parents in their responsibility to their children as the primary teachers of the Faith. Our Pre-K to 8th grade and our Confirmation classes are held immediately after the 8:30 am Mass.
We prepare the students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Music Ministry Our adult choir provides music for the weekend Masses, Holy Days, and special concerts. If you would like to join our choir or have questions, please contact Linda Gagnon at 978-745-8947 for more information.
Holy Rosary Prayer Group Our Rosary Prayer Group meets before the 9 am Mass on Tuesday through Saturday in the Chapel. Call the Parish Office at 978-745-6303 to request prayers.
St. Joseph's Food Pantry The St. Joseph's Food Shoppe at Immaculate Conception has its own web site www.st.josephsfoodpantry.com where you can get much more information about the very important ministry to the poor and needy of Salem. The Food Pantry is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm to 7 pm. If you have any questions, please call the Food Pantry at 978-744-2532.
Parish Christian Service Team Our parishioners volunteer to serve meals at two locations:
- Salem Mission in Salem
- My Brother's Table in Lynn

St. Vincent de Paul Society Provides material assistance to the needy among our parishioners. The Society meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 3:30 pm. Membership is anonymous. Contact the Parish Office at 978-745-6303 for more information.
Thrift Shop The Thrift Shop is in the lower church and is open Thursday from 8 am to 11:45 am. All proceeds benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Donations of used clothing and other saleable goods welcome. For more information call the Parish Office at 978-745-6303.
